I am all for weddings, especially those of the royal variety. This past week I shamelessly watched countless (aka quite possibly every) TV specials outlining every detail about the royal family, how Will and Kate met, wedding plans etc etc etc. While I did not watch the wedding this morning I did receive a message from my good friend Katharine (it is pure coincidence she shares the name with the new princess) saying I had correctly pinned the designer of the wedding dress (three cheers for Sarah Burton!).
So, naturally, I could not help but want to see the attire of the guests of this historic royal wedding - here are some of my favourites!

Auf Wiedersehen
For the past three years, fellow felicity&fritz girl, Shanna Abdo, has made our family that much brighter. Yesterday marked our girlie's last day and to say that we will miss her is an understatement at best.
We will miss our morning conference calls, our Tim Hortons/Starbcuks coffee runs, our backroom dance parties, but most of all we will miss you.
We love you forever Shanna Banana and thank you forever for your work at felicity&fritz.

The Blues
"The blues are because you're getting fat or it's raining too long. You're sad that's all."
- Holly Golightly
Fashion girls, I don't know about the latter, but it has definitely been raining too long and I'm in undeniable favour of trading out the blues for a necessary case of Spring Fever.

Friday Fixations
I look forward to Easter weekend every year. I love Easter; quite possibly more than I love any other holiday and that's including Christmas. I love the church services, the pretty colours, the big family lunch, the pastries, the everything. So, naturally, I couldn't help but to make this edition of Friday Fixations Easter themed.
These are Cake Pops. Little balls of cake dipped in rainbow-coloured chocolate.
Eggs waiting to be eaten after Easter service
An early Easter gift from the little brother
Peanut and almond M&M's straight from NYC's M&M Store (yum).
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend with your families and loved ones!

It's In The Bag
While it may be easily classified as fashionable hoarding, some (me) call the act of shoving just about everything one fashion girl owns into her handbag a hidden talent. An art form if you will. Friends may laugh at the number of items I am capable of fitting into a 6"x9" clutch but who do they go to when they need a BandAid/lip gloss/moisturizer/camera?? Me. They come to me. They still ask, however, why I carry so much around with me and in all honesty I really can only attribute it to the advice my aunt once gave me when I was five years old and loving my first ever handbag (a navy blue backpack with multi-coloured pastel polka dots). Not having much to carry around with me my aunt advised "Even if you don't need something, bring it. You never know what you may need so just shove it in there!"
Notebook, What to Wear Where book, daily planner, pen, hand cream, Coach wallet, Blackberry, Essie nail polish in (in fifth avenue and turquoise and caicos), chunky silver bracelet, COVERGIRL Natureluxe Gloss (in marble), Ray-Ban Rare Prints Wayfarers, keys, vitamins and USB port. Typically I also have my makeup bag in here as well, but I had left it in my car while I was taking the picture.

Easing Into It
I have a running joke with mama felicity&fritz that we break out every year around this time. The joke being directed to those few individuals who get so excited as soon as they see the temperature rise above two degrees and show their glee bare limbs and flips flops. Their gleefulness, of course, accompanied with an apparent expression of "crap-still-too-cold-for-this-outfit-but-too-late-to-turn-back" which in turn (as twisted as it may be) makes me and mama felicity&fritz smile just a little bit. When it comes to transitioning from flurry skies to warm afternoons there are some key pieces that not only make the change fashionable but much less embarrassingly inappropriate.
Living in a city with a weather system as temperamental as Daffy Duck, this fashion blogger has learned some tricks that not only allow me to take advantage of the weather but also stay warm when it's less than favourable. Some key words fashion girlies -- Layers. Blazers. Hot-hued-accessories. Stockings. Chunky-jewellery. Booties. Opened-toe pumps. Light-knits. Scarves. Crayola-bright-apparel.

Looks Like Rain
I remember many years ago learning about different types of clouds - Altocumulus, Cirrus, Cumulus, Cumulonimbus - while glueing puffy cotton balls to a sheet of electric blue construction paper trying to make my sky prettier than the 5 year-old beside (whose glue to cotton ball ratio was way off I'll have you know).
I figure as Mother Nature is currently obsessed with clouds of the cumulonimbus variety, it was nothing but appropriate to show some rainy weather attire. Since the days are dreary as it is, try to have fun with your outerwear and accessories. That means taking classic styles and amping them up with mega-watt hues - electric blue, yellow, tangerine and kelly green - and patterns that remind you of when jumping in puddles made overcast and scattered showers all worth it.

Friday Fixations
Yesterday was my first day off in a long time and I took advantage of every moment by staying home and being über productive. I went for a run, I finished some writing, I cleaned, I baked, I cooked and most wonderfully I read a book. An actual book that was not assigned to me and is not on a syllabus and will not require a full analysis regarding the various resources B2B businesses are using to market themselves to their target clients. *Sigh* Needless to say, my staycation was wonderful.

My first un-school-related read of many; a Truman Capote compilation
My bed has officially become a stuffed animal barnyard
Blueberry bread I baked from my own recipe which tasters seemed to enjoy!

What to Wear to A Wedding
Spring has officially sprung and with that so too comes the season of wedding bells. Whether it's your best friend or a second cousin whose name you just can't quite remember, it's time to celebrate!

Cole Haan for Spring
Cole Haan for spring has just arrived and you can be certain the felicity&fritz girls are a) swooning b) drooling (in the most fashionable sense) and c) fighting over sizes (and we're talking fist-action ladies).

Wedged
Ahh, the wedge. How I love thee. This style is a forever staple of the fashion girls spring and summer wardrobes thanks to how versatile it is. The warm seasons are all about laid back style, yes, but don't bore your footsies in a pair of ratty flip-flops. I mean really, give yourself a boost by throwing on a pair of wedges from felicity&fritz - they'll add height, lengthen your legs (Oh, hello Heidi Klum) and put that sartorial finishing touch to your spring and summer outfit. (Thank me later for how wonderful you look)

Friday Fixations
Breathe it in fashion girls, Friday is here and by the end of this work day it will be the weekend! (woo) This week has been quite a whirlwind for this fashion blogger - Monday was my last day of classes, Tuesday I started working full-time, Thursday I said goodbye to my best friend (if you have ever done this, you know how not fun this is) and Friday (today) I handed in my very last assignment of my studied major (WOO HOO).
However, I digress. This weeks Friday Fixations are a compilation of purchases I have spoiled myself with this week (I wouldn't so much call these purchases the result of "retail therapy" per se, rather...I just wanted to shop, shop, shop!).
However, I digress. This weeks Friday Fixations are a compilation of purchases I have spoiled myself with this week (I wouldn't so much call these purchases the result of "retail therapy" per se, rather...I just wanted to shop, shop, shop!).
I purchased these House of Harlow crochet flats from felicity&fritz and am in love.
Super-cute? Yes. Comfortable? Yes. Wearable with just about everything? Yep!
Also purchased this past week from felicity&fritz is this blood orange
co-lab by Christopher Kon cross-body bag. (NOTE: This handbag holds a surprising amount of "essentials". i.e two notebooks, a novel, a planner, my wallet, iPod, Blackberry, my camera, two nail polishes, two sets of keys...
it's embarrassing how much I carry with me.)
With my life lacking group projects and late night studying, I'm making it
my goal to learn how to cook. My baking rivals Buddy Vilastro, but my cooking
skills are a work in progress. Hopefully, this gorgeous Greek cook book is the solution!
Happy Friday!

I Never Liked Barbie
With the temperature getting warmer, it is inevitable that we will soon be shedding our ever-piling winter layers. Also inevitable is the criticism we will soon be enduring regarding the shape of our bodies. This criticism, of course, directly coming from ourselves.
We are quick to tell our friends how hot their asses look in those jeans, but when it comes to paying ourselves a deserved compliment we often fall short. Working at felicity&fritz and helping women daily, I see first hand how brutal we can be to ourselves.

High Five, Lots of Kisses, Big Thanks
Friday Fixations
It is Friday fashion girlies and this day could not have come any sooner! Let's all take a collective sigh of relief that the weekend is finally here. Breathe in (sunny weather, shopping at felicity&fritz, lazy Sundays) and breathe out (that pile of paperwork on your desk, that red blinking light on your blackberry yelling at you to answer your messages and that batch of cookies that ended up too crispy aka burnt).
My Mother (also goes by the name mamacita) and I are officially obsessed with these
Cole Haan handbags. These vintage inspired beauties are just dying to find a home in our closets.
I like how the one above is like the like the baby and below is the mamacita.
Oh. Did I mention this one above is coming to felicity&fritz? It is. Swoon!
These are my favourite, however, I am convinced they were are but a figment of my imagination as I cannot find them ANYWHERE! So, if you are reading this while eating a bag of these dark mini eggs, stop. Come to felicity&fritz and share them with me. I will love you forever.
