Fashion Designers are My Rock Stars

Every year, while others channel their self-proclaimed cinematic expertise to decide on which blockbuster or indie should take home the Oscar, this fashion blogger (not very) patiently waits for the CFDA Awards to roll around. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the CFDA Awards honors the top names in fashion from all areas of the industry and related arts.


Typically, when one writes of the CFDA Awards, the dress of attending guests is covered. However, being the fashion girl that I am (while others hung pictures of Justin Timberlake in their lockers, I had the latest runway shots of Marc Jacobs new collection), I would like to spotlight some of the tastemakers we truly (or at least I) could not live without. These are the people, after all, whose designs inspire us to bust through the normal and mundane so that we may, in our own individual ways, infuse our life with the fantastical creations they send down the runway each season.
